It’s easy to picture it; a small historical town surrounded by endless fields of lavender and their intoxicating fragrance. The lilac buds, swaying left and right in the warm, gentle breeze under the enduring mid-afternoon sun.
As the early morning sun slowly ascended, the light flickered and shimmered until it became a perfect beam, reflected by the mirror of the Setois canal into my hotel room at Hôtel de Paris.
A day, I found, was just enough to walk around the historic Luxembourg city. In that time, you could leisurely explore everything from the fortresses and Petrusse Casemates to the palace and the Pfaffenthal.
