The month of June is the beginning of the rain season for the Dominican Republic.
But as it’s the Caribbean, the temperature never falls by much.
Out by the coast, about 250 miles of it, there is at least some respite from the fresh ocean air.
In rain season, the coast looks moody, the sea isn’t quite so beautiful and the beach is almost deserted. But at sunset, you get a glimpse of what it might be – what the brochures show you.
