September is easily the best time of the year to visit the French Riviera.
Most of the summer crowd has left, leaving the streets almost empty. But the weather is still warm, and you can easily pretend it’s still the summer break.
For Monaco, though, September is one of the busiest seasons. The annual Monaco Yacht Show congregates in its harbours each year and draws in a most fabulous crowd.
It’s not for everyone but the number and size of the yachts on show are a sight to behold. And then there are the people watching.
And if you know the right people, there are some fabulous parties to be seen at.
